Jhal Muri or Spicy Puffed Rice is a very popular Bengali street food in Bangladesh and India. In big cities like Dhaka or Calcutta (Kolkata) you will find Jhal Muri in the busy street corners everywhere.

Puffed Rice is the main ingredient in Jhal Muri which is like Kellog’s Rice Krispies. There are many other ingredients, which are:

- Onion
- Tomato
- Cumin
- Red or Green chili
- Tamarind paste
- Salt & Pepper
- Chickpeas
- Spices
-Mustard oil
- Cilantro (Coriander)
- Peanuts
- Dalmut or Chanachoor (sort of Bangladeshi/Indian dry snacks)
- Lime
- And much more

Keep in mind that recipe or ingredients of Jhal Muri will vary depending on vendors. But one thing in common across all vendors that Jhal Muri is a very delicious and spicy street foor snack which is hard to stop eating once you start.
